About Nola

My name is Nola Dixon, and I am a Visual Communications major and Capstone Scholar at the University of South Carolina, with a minor in Sport and Entertainment Management. I’m originally from Irmo, SC, and graduated from Dutch Fork High School with honors in just three years.

I’m currently a Creative Media Intern for Gamecock Athletics, where I photograph content for all Gamecock sports teams and collaborate with the creative, social media, and content teams to develop engaging visuals for our online platforms. From capturing key moments on the field to contributing to the fan experience, I enjoy telling stories through creative media.

Previously, I worked as a Social Media Marketing Intern and Photographer for the Student Life Marketing Team, where I helped manage the @uofscstudents Instagram account, which had over 20,000 followers. For this role, I planned and photographed various events around campus. That role sparked my interest in digital marketing and laid the foundation for my understanding of social media strategy and content planning.
